The percentage of office jobs remained stable compared to last year. Employers have needed a large number of administrative specialists, in particular, ever since we began collecting data. One new factor is that relevant job offers make up the largest share of the overall sample as well. Since they are distributed over many different specializations, no clerk profession is among the top ten. Currently, employers are seeking personnel administrators, freight and logistics service agents, and purchasing clerks above all.
Job advertisements for administration have become less common within office professions, however they increased to an above-average degree in 2023. There are acute shortages of skilled workers in legal and tax advising firms. Some firms have already been forced to turn away clients, since they do not have sufficient personnel to serve them. Accordingly, the largest number of open positions is available for administrative and tax specialists.
The assistant area has grown slightly, but remains in 28th place among all work areas. Only reception employees and general office specialists can choose from slightly more vacancies.
