Strong presence in the top ten

The processing area has seen low losses and three top ten professions. Almost six out of ten job vacancies in the occupational area are directed solely towards the careers of electronics technician, production assistant, and system engineer for sanitary, heating and air conditioning.

Almost all careers in industrial production increased somewhat; fitters of finished parts, however, remained by far the most sought-after specialists, followed by plastics fitters. Metalworking professions also increased theire percentages, buoyed by both system engineers for sanitary, heating and air conditioning and growing demand for trained metal and steelworkers.

The machine operator work area was almost ten percentage points below last year’s level. A drop in job openings for production assistants was primarily responsible for the reduction. Production companies, however, still need many workers with practical skills, which is why they take fifth place in the overall rankings.
